Land
Coming exclusively from olives from the Provençal region and made from matured olives (or called “unemployed” or “black fruity”), H DE LEOS MATURÉE oil is produced in a region with an exceptional terroir, characterized by a Mediterranean climate. and stony soils. The olive trees there benefit from generous sunshine and cool nights, which helps give the oil its unique aromas.
PRODUCTION
H de Leos Maturé oil is designed and produced by the teams at Domaine de Leos and those at Moulin Castelas, where the olives are “crushed”. Cold extracted and 100% virgin olive oil, production is strictly regulated by the Protected Designation of Origin (AOP Provence) guaranteeing the quality of the cultivation, harvesting, crushing and conservation methods.
Ingredients
Like all our oils, H de Leos Maturé oil is created mainly from Aglandau, a variety of olive tree native to our region.
Tasting notes
Aromatic and very sweet, it benefits from a nice length on the palate and offers the intense and complex taste of an “original” black fruitiness. It is characterized by a beautiful color and its aromatic richness with an “off-the-job”, old-fashioned nose, with a dominant powerful aroma of candied olives and truffle as well as notes of cocoa, black tapenade and vanilla. . Its creamy texture makes it a real delight for the taste buds.
GASTRONOMIC COMBINATIONS
We recommend using cold as a finishing oil on all types of foods and dishes, savory and sweet. It goes perfectly with Mediterranean dishes such as salads, aioli, grilled fish, roasted meats and seasonal vegetables. It can also be used to enhance more exotic dishes, bringing a touch of authenticity to each bite.
Health & Nutritional Values ​​(per 100g)
Rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants, the health benefits of olive oil are regularly mentioned in the media and are the subject of numerous international studies. It is also an excellent source of vitamin E and polyphenols.
Storage and shelf life
Olive oils do not have expiry dates but have an optimal use-by date of two years (DLUO) beyond which they gradually lose their aromatic quality. Because olive oils are likely to absorb odors and alter in the light, our bottles are dark in color. To preserve its aromas and nutritional qualities, we advise you to keep them away from light and heat, preferably in a cool and dry place.
